Database Analysts usually perform such functions as: Assists with analyzing, developing, and implementing the physical database design in support of an organization’s formation technology requirements. Performs the maintenance of database dictionaries. Monitors standards and procedures, access methods and time, validation checks and organizational and statistical methods. Reviews, evaluates, designs, implements and maintains databases. Helps identify data sources, construct data decomposition diagrams and document the process. Implements codes for database access, modifications and constructions including stored procedures. Works under direct supervision. Reports to a manager.
